Developing and Evaluating Communication Strategies to
Support Informed Decisions and Practice Based on Evidence

Work Package 5: Strategies for communicating evidence to inform decisions about health system and public health interventions

The focus of this work package is on ways of communicating evidence to inform decisions about health system and public health interventions and to communicate evidence-based health system and public health recommendations.

We have identified three types of strategies as priorities:

  1. Frameworks for going from evidence to decisions about health system and public health interventions
  2. An interactive Summary of Findings to improve understanding and use of evidence of the effects of interventions
  3. Resources to support understanding and use of evidence-based recommendations 

The Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services is responsible for coordination of the work package. is responsible for coordination of the work package. Contributors to this work package include: Signe Flottorp, Claire Glenton, Metin Gulmezoglu, Regina Kunz, Simon Lewin, Jenny Moberg, Angela Morelli, Espen Movik, Andy Oxman, Govin Permanand, Sarah Rosenbaum and Josh Vogel.

All of the partners will contribute to the development, evaluation and testing of the DECIDE strategies for public health and health systems policy.
