NICE is part of the NHS in England and is responsible for providing national guidance on promoting good health and preventing and treating ill health. It publishes technology appraisals, clinical guidelines and public health guidance.
Dr Judith Thornton
Judith Thornton is a pharmacist and health services researcher and has initiated and managed clinical trials, systematic reviews and economic evaluations across several therapeutic areas and with a particular interest in paediatrics. She is now Technical Adviser in the Centre for Clinical Practice at NICE and is responsible for the quality assurance of clinical guidelines.
Dr Phil Alderson
Phil Alderson is a public health doctor who has worked in research synthesis for nearly 15 years, first at the UK Cochrane Centre and now at NICE, where he works in the clinical guidelines team developing methods and overseeing quality assurance.
